Re: Meet and greet

Please slow down. Us three were the three names mentioned as being the Ossy mafia who have taken over Accy Web, thus making it not as good as 'the old days'.

Boo hoo.

Re: Meet and greet

Neil, there are about 2,000 residences and it's the biggest ward in Ossy.

No, I'm too scared in case all our posts intimidate other people from posting.

Re: Meet and greet

Just in case anyone is in any doubt about this meet and greet session.

It is an opportunity for people from Oswaldtwistle (St Andrew's Ward) to come along and say hello to me. It's a chance for them to tell me what they would like to see happen in Oswaldtwistle in the future.

I hope to see a few friendly faces there.

Re: Meet and greet

I know St Oswald's is actually the biggest in terms of area - it covers Knuzden and Belthorn and Stanhill areas so if you were on foot it would be a heck of an area to cover.

St Andrew's is mostly made up of terraced houses so is much more compact but I think has the larger population which was what I meant when I called it the biggest.

I'll double check.

If HBC's web site can be trusted to be correct in 2004
St Andrews 3470
St Oswalds 5201
But yes I agree with you St Andrews could be considered to be "the centre of ossy" people living in Belthorn, Stanhill & Knuzden would only be interested in their own areas and not ossy

Re: Meet and greet

I think peopole who live in Belthorn and Knuzden don't really consider themselves to be part of Hyndburn, let alone Ossy.

I'm always willing to be corrected when I'm wrong.

You are right there gayle, when we moved out of "ossy" I made contact with HBC to see which Area Council we came under....Oswaldtwistle was the reply. Seems silly, we have a Blackburn post code, and the phone is connected to the Blackburn exchange, but we are still in Hyndburn
but only yards from the border/boundry.
