Don't squirels ever hibernate?
Did you not know I have moved back in to the park for the winter, more things to eat & drink, after the friday night sessions in the play area

Re: Meet and greet

To anyone trying to follow this ramble round the park, I've just had a pm informing me that Park381 has removed his photograph, which I didn't ask him to do.

That's squirels and logic for you.

No I said the picture you posted was fine, just that it didn't prove your point as it was taken from above the play area, thus still not proving that we could not in fact see the play area from my Mother's house, which we can.

I pm'd you asking not to post anymore photographs which might identify her home. She has enough trouble with squirels peering in, never mind anyone else.

Lets get this correct, your first PM
Quote:
please do not post any photographs of my Mum's house on the internet, thankyou.
To which I replied sorry, I will remove it.
I hope that clears the matter up.

Re: Meet and greet

No that pics ok, I just didn't want one showing her house that people could work out exactly where she lived.
Cheers.

The above reply was my pm in return to yours, quite clearly stating I had no objection to the picture you attached to your post, I just didn't want anymore that did show her house.

Are you this bumptious at home? If you are I may well have to pop over to the Knuzden area with a gold medal for Mrs Squirel, she must deserve it.

First I must say sorry to gayle, sorry for taking the thread over or as Less would say thread wandering.

No my good lady of 40+years is happy with the way I am, as are all my friends. A spade is a spade is the old saying.

All the attached pics were sent through to HBC reminding them of their duty under H&S regulations during the "building of the play area"

Re: Meet and greet

Photograph one shows me sitting on the sofa, and Mum brushing her hair upstairs. We have an even better view from the actual site of the play area, rather than just below it, from where the photograph was took from.

Apology accepted. It just shows what a contentious issue this still is for some people.

Thing is, I think the people who I spoke to would probably be happy if the trees were blocking off the light a bit because it does shine in to their house. Perhaps some lleylandi (or however it's spelt) might just be the simple answer.

Lol, good idea. Screen off Park Lane with fast growing conifers.

Problem solved.

As per my previous post, the light and column are not the same as the one HBC applied for planning permission for, and as such HBC could be made to remove it, and replace it with the approved light and column. Had I still been living on park lane then I would have contacted the " Planning Enforcement Officer" about the problem.

There was an agreement with PB and one of HBC's parks persons to plant some shrubs in front of the play area when it was first installed. HBC in fact issued a small drawing showing the shrubs.

HBC's planning officer in his/her summing up of the planning application for the light refered to the play area as " the unfortunate siting of the play area on the brow of a hill"

Next time you are door knocking Gayle ask them to show you how bright it is sat in their front room. It can't be any worse than having a street light outside your house. I have a couple of street lights outside my house and light the fact we are well lit.
