The smoking area is round the back of the club, it's a decent size with lighting, heating, several seats and a partial roof. Lovely.
The artist that was on in the club wasn't bad either lol.
Didn't see Peter Britciffe in there. He's usually in the Black Dog or Rose and Crown.
you won't see britcliffe in there, he only goes in at election time thank god

I think you've got your councillors mixed up. It wasn't PB (Peter Britcliffe) that was ill last year, it was Cllr Brian Walmsley who fortunately is very well at the moment though.

Ah, yes of course - sorry.

PB on this forum tends to be shorthand for Peter Britcliffe though.

Re: new name new look

It still says Conservative Club on the sign outside though which would be offputting to some

No I won't bother trying it. It's still The Conservative Club no matter how you dressed it up. I would much rather go to St Marys Parish Centre. That's if I am going out

It's actually one of the few places in Ossy that I've never been in, and not because I was afraid of Tories. After all I've sat facing Thatcher in a private dining room at that bastion of the right wing, the Carlton Club, and remained unscathed.

I wish them well, as there are already enough places in the town that have closed.
