Re: Ossy Clark
So what's being said is "Because the thread is about fashion, making it a cut above the rest thereby following a pattern & knitting it together, or sew it seams meaning blanket coverage as opposed to a patchwork of chintzy dressings ?" Is this a stitch up ?

Re: Ossy Clark
Ace! That would be fab Garinda! Do it!
I have to smile to myself, because I have a make-up bag, which I only bought LAST Xmas, (from BOOTS the chemist) designed by his wife, still known as Celia Birtwell! He had met her whilst they were both students in Manchester.
Their names live on!

Although he had a sad end, to what had been for a good few years a glittering career, his name will be forever recorded in the history of costume books.
Britain was the style capital of the world in the sixties. Ossie Clark kept that focus on the country well into the seventies.

Re: Ossy Clark
Interesting article about attempts to revive the Ossie Clark label, and the fight to stop it happening, by his former wife Celia Birtwell, and the couples two sons Albert, and George.
