Good question Tinkerbelle because you can't just go off the way people dress. Having growing daughters today's fashions worry me.

The Tanpits pub is now run by travelers, is it because you seen someone wearing Bet Lynch earings.

Re: tampits

According to a story in the Accy Observer some months ago, the red light area is around the Elmfield Hall (Gatty Park) & Riding Barn St area. Apparently a few residents have complained about this. Also I understand Cornwall Place was used frequently, leading the council to eventually demolish it.
I personally have not seen anything, but I don't live nearby and only occasionally pass through the area generally in the daytime.

Re: tampits

Talking of the Tanpits pub, why oh why have they renamd it "The Plough" ? It had a bit of character and charm and historical significance as "The Tanpits" but PLOUGH??

'They're on my patch, and they're dead. My pimp 'll kill 'em!'

Seriously, never seen anyting like that, and will be interesting to know how you knew they were prostitutes.

There are two prostitutes working from a house in Ossy, but not street walkers that l have seen though.
lt's nothing new, my Nan knew a woman at the Mill who worked the looms by day and entertained paying 'guests' in the evening, this was in Ossy in the 40's.
Well it's not called the oldest profession for nothing, and l don't mean weaving!
