Tesco for ossy?
Just seen on councils website that tesco have submitted plans to demolish old firestation, and erect retail convenience store with parking and service yard, hope it gets passed, as its a right mess round there.

Re: Tesco for ossy?
So they have, I'm presuming it will be an Express or a Metro. Could do with a petrol station in Ossy actually. Ooh could get a transfer, that would be easier to get to work!!

Re: Tesco for ossy?
I enquired about the fire station about 4 years ago, they wanted 95k for it, my idea was to make a fireplace showroom and call it.... The Fire Station, but they weren't getting 95 thousand off me for a shell.

Re: Tesco for ossy?
Talking about the Co-op, I was served by a girl on the kiosk desk while she was texting on her mobile phone on Tuesday evening. Not very professional I thought.

I bet that was Fiona, sounds just like her. Very friendly service even if it isn't professional.
Today I went to Sainsburys and I was trying to find the right yoghurt and a grumpy old man who worked there said 'can you move.' Not very professional but not even friendly either.
Would rather have friendly service with her texting on her phone than that kind of treatment

Re: Tesco for ossy?
if tesco is gonna go where the old fire station is, wheres the car park gonna be?
i walk past there everyday and if they do have a carpark, it wont be very big, unless the shop wont be!
I hope it does happen though, we need a decent shop in ossy, something cheap

Re: Tesco for ossy?
Have to laugh... you know when they say the McDonald's sign is one of the first signs babies learn to recognise (not sure if tongue in cheek, but some truth methinks) .. figure this going to be one of their first words too..

Re: Tesco for ossy?
Will surely have to be a Tesco Direct store as there can't possibly be room for anything bigger. There is a lot of space at the back so it is a bit deceptive though.

Re: Tesco for ossy?
I was just going to say there's more space than you think at the back but even so it's not a very good location, tucked in there. We went to have a look at it a bit ago and decided it really didn't seem worth the asking price.
