Re: Wheelie bins, recycling..

Hehehehe. Dont worry, I am nice to all animals, I even stroke cats if I'm in a good mood, its just that they often **** me right off with their antics!

I was really talking about the lower side, nearer town, lower Bold St, Cedar St, Oswald St thing. Moved a couple of blocks up from down there just recently - a vast improvement as far as litter and junk goes.

Re: Wheelie bins, recycling..

Well, I don't like any animals, especially cats. The thing about other animals, though, is that they have a use. What use is a cat? No use. The only thing I can remember a cat being good for is, years ago, in my Rugby playing days,I used to practice drop kicks on them...I once managed to get a ginger tom over a 12ft wall from 15ft out. Lovely sound effects. The only problem is, the cats don't always want to play. Shame, that.

I just received a letter from HBC to say that I will receive my wheelie bin & blue bag (for plastic bottles) within the next couple of weeks - oh what joy!

Hear Hear Ceejache I would love to dump all the rubbish from the tenants of the private landlords in their home and see what they would say to that.

Re: Wheelie bins, recycling..

Sorry about that..............but I take grave offence at people who make profit by turning my once nice area into a tip just for their profit when they live 20-odd so miles away from the area!!!!!!!!!!!

No....actually I'm not sorry about it.... How dare they fill their pockets at the expense (sp?) of the decent, tax/bill paying citizen? I dont want to live in this sort of decay, sort out your property or get the hell out of the area!

I've had a wheelie bin for a while and the box for cans'n'bottles and bag for paper even longer but never had a blue bag for plastic bottles. I've been trundling them up to the tip from time to time with additional rubbish which the council won't take. Is everybody supposed to get a bag for plastic bottles? I take batteries to the tip too when I remember.

Re: Wheelie bins, recycling..

According to Hyndburn Council, those of us in Ossy who do not have wheelie bins should be getting them soon, together with full instructions on how to use them! I look forward to that bit ....

As to never being more than 6 feet from a rat, my cat Fred (sadly now deceased) was a terrific ratter, and dealt very efficiently with huge rats - so there could just be some uses for a cat, other than for practising drop kicks.

Just remember to stick it outside at the right time,at the right angle and with the right stuff in it......otherwise it's a fifty quid fine...and hyndburn Council don't muck about, as we all know.......

Tealeaf - you are joking! I know they are b*****ds and incompetent ones at that, but surely even they won't go that far ... unless you know different.

Re: Wheelie bins, recycling..

Nope......ask any of the others. People have been fined for incorrect use of Wheely bins and for continuing to use black bin liners. The only exceptions - as reported in the Observers round-up of the Court Cases have been members of the ethnic community, on the basis that they don't understand English.

Mais, qu'est que c'est "wheelie bins"? Moi, je suis membre d'EU, et je ne comprend pas Council-speak.

Does that count?
