Cool How many lanes?

It's a while since I've posted a pic of Moscow, so when I finally managed to get a good view of a proper road I thought I'd share it with you all..

This is part of the garden ring in moscow which is it's internal ring road. There is also the MKAD which is Moscows equivalent to the M25 but it doesn't have as many lanes as this road. You've got to be impressed really with roads this big, this is bigger than any of the roads I've seen in the world, even in America. And this is not even the biggest road in Moscow!!

How many lanes can you count and how would you feel driving in amongst this, as I do nearly every day!

(note to my sister: now you realise why I say the M65 is nothing to worry about!)

I have to say that is pretty impressive. So, Roy, what keeps you in Moscow. It's not a place one would normally associate a Brit. living and working. Your last name isn't "Bond" or something is it?

Re: How many lanes?

That is totally crazy - I count 10 lanes on one side and eight on the other???? But what are those cars doing on the right just parked up?

But the M65 is still more frightening when I'm behind the wheel of a car!

Re: How many lanes?

That looks horrendous. I'd hate to try to drive there. Not that I drive anyway.

Re: How many lanes?

Having seen Roy drive I would say thats just enough lanes so he can take people on the inside without getting into too much trouble... I mean it must be full of lane hoggers Roy?

What do you drive out there?

Re: How many lanes?

Just seen this one. No problem! Once you have driven round Milan, and done the autostrada interchange, where 10 lanes go down to 3, about 5 times in succession with various motorways coming in, with Italian drivers (never want one lane when a lane and a half will do) .....

Don't fancy a Lada mind. I do hear Skodas are good these days - what do you think, Roy?

Re: How many lanes?

Had two Ladas in the past. The first one was brilliant and left me wondering what on earth people complained about. The second one showed me! Anything that could possibly go wrong did, including the windows dropping out.
