Re: IRA Terror cells

A mate of mine used to be a taxi driver. He told me one of the drivers was a sleeper ( ira sent over to live under cover). This guy was a pyrotechnic (very handy) and would mysteriously slip away just before bombs would go off in the country. This could just have been gossip but people where vary on edge then. Are you refering to the guy up Avenue Parade? I remember him.

i remember a guy getting raided about 10 or 12 years ago on spencer street off avenue parade and was found to have explosives in the house and connections to the IRA

i think it was spencer street anyway

also remember the whole area getting cordened off around the adelphi pub around the same time and a huge white tent been put around a car that also had explosives in it because granada reports turned up
