I am using firefox 4 Beta at the moment, i just found that when you do add the master password it asks you every time you load Firefox up for the password.....Annoying!
On firefox 3 tool/ options / security / Saved passwords Set master password click show passwords and there you can see them. Setting master password will stop anybody from accessing them
