MSN is not closing down!

I get at least one forwarded email a week telling me that msn is closing down because they only have 578 names left (roy1uk to roy578uk) , if i wish to keep my account forward this to everyone on my contact list, because msn will be closing the servers down!!(get real) who ever doesn't your account will be closed and will cost ten pound to use (how can I use it if it's closed)and that they want to charge 10 quid bla bla, so cut and copy the message and sent it to your contacts. From the first of nov we will have to pay for msn and email. (I had this last summer the 1st of november has been and gone).

It then gives some fake bbc site to go and check which i'm not cllicking on cos it's prob a virus.

Please don't forward this junk and please don't believe it.

I've got a nice collection of email addresses now though.

How many others of you have had this then???

If it closed what would the world do apart from come out of a daze. I use it to keep in touch with family as its cheaper than a stamp and as real time as a phone call. Those who want it closed must have had a problem or ten.

The BBC link is not a virus it's a real BBC link, if I remember rightly, it's a 2001 article about how msn are going to charge for the *premium* service

Re: MSN is not closing down!

N0 my emails on that list as someone they sent it to.I've got a list of all the contacts they've sent it to. I had another one of the stupid things the next day.
Skype mite better in your opinion but less people use it as a messenger, just like yahoo messenger, which used to be good but constantly crashes on me now whenever i press a button on the list, change status picture etc.
I create groups on yahoo and nobody joines, create the same group on msn and get hundreds.
So msn is and as far as i can see always will be king.
