Question for computor buffs

I have always been puzzled when an email comes and it has a large box with black lines all around it with a small square in the top left corner with an x in it. How on earth do you open it, I have tried every way I can possibly think of and so have never opened one in the last three years.

Could be your computer has blocked it as a potential threat, I delete them as quickly as possible.

Re: Question for computor buffs

I'm no expert, but from past experience, it could be an email made up of an image rather than text. If your email system is set up to receive 'plain text' emails, it will not be able to display an image. Your email settings should be set for 'HTML' emails rather than plain text.

That may be one possible solution and has been the reason for similar problems some time ago.

As different email systems have different structures, I can't really tell you how to check on your system, but 'Tools' 'Options' may be the areas to try if you have them??

Hope that helps, but like I said, I'm certainly no expert!!
