P.S. Thanks to Neil for alerting me about this, and for telling me how to reset my password.

This was from someone I know and trust, that's why I was taken in, though it turns out they didn't know anything about it.

Should have found that out first though...before stupidly typing in my password.

This is the second time I have warned friends on his list in a couple of weeks

Have you changed your MSN password now?
Do you understand how your password was stolen so it wont happen again? If not ask and I will explain.

No I have no idea how my password was stolen or how to change it so any advice would be welcome. Just one thing I don't know my original password either

Your messenger has sent me 4 links in the last 20min or so, roughly at 5 min intervals so it’s still playing up I’m afraid.

A scan will not stop it. You don't have a virus. Your have given your password away.

Never type your MSN password into any link that comes as a message from a friend. You will have got a message from a friend saying look at my pictures. You clicked it and it asked you for your password. Bingo you gave your password away so now your account can send the same message to all your friends.

You must change your password now to stop it happening.

Use this link to change it https://accountservices.passport.net...?lc=2057&id=10

Let me know if it does not work for you.

If its the one that invites you to look at her photos it is not a virus. It asks for your password so you can see them.
