Warning

VERY IMPORTANT WARNING !!!!!!
Please Be Extremely Careful especially if using Internet mail such as Walla, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on. This information arrived this morning from Microsoft and Norton. Please send it to everybody you know who accesses the Internet. You may receive an apparently harmless
Email with a Power Point presentation " Life is beautiful. Pps". If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES , and delete it immediately. If you open this file, a message will appear on your screen saying: " It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful", subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC and the person who sent it to you gain access to your name, e-mail and password. This is a new virus ! Which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon WE NEED TO DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO STOP THIS VIRUS. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the antivirus Software's are not capable of destroying it.

Re: Warning

As usual, if you receive an email claiming to be from anyone including God himself that says you have to send it to everyone then it WILL be a hoax.

Re: Warning

I've got one that isn't a hoax. I got lumbered with a flippin virus after opening what I thought was an email from a family member but it turned out to be a video from a porn site. The trojan used her address book to send out the emails. I have warned everybody in my address book just in case I haven't been able to stop it doing the same. The email says something like "Hi, I've got a new website, Can you see this video OK?"

The trojan is called FakeAlert-B and believe me it's real and a flamin pain in the wotsit.

Re: Warning

I saved Busman too and he's got a happy PC. He got the same email from the same person I did.

I had a thank you from a few people who hadn't had the email from my address but then did get it from other people's.

Re: Warning

Yes good point len, ditto, thanks mel. don't think cos I listed those that it's not appriciated because it is, it can then either be listed as hoax, which still needs bringing to peoples attention, or a virus.

Re: Warning

while on the subject of hoaxes, MSN is NOT closing down, running out of accounts, names, server space, or anything else, and is not charging unless you get the premium msn pack
