i got another one from Llyods TSB and another from HSBC, if i did have an account with either of the banks and didnt know any better i would of thought that these emails where true and maybe filled in my details, but fortunately i'm NOT blonde..
i know ive warned about things before that havent come to fruission but it bothers me that some people won't have a clue about this

Re: WARNING !!!! Emails From Banks scam!!!
I have received this email from practically every bank except the one I am a member of. I never reply to them cause this just verifies they have the correct email address and carry on sending them.

Re: WARNING !!!! Emails From Banks scam!!!
My bank doesnt know my email address and so i dont receive any emails from them. Also on top of that my account is held at the bank, anything i do i go into the bank face to face. So if anything comes through on the emails about my banking details it gets deleted straight away.

Re: WARNING !!!! Emails From Banks scam!!!
Why do people need reminding about this crap.
Sometimes it worries me that people no longer want to take responsibility for their actions. If you get an email from someone saying that they need your details then its a scam, always has been always will be.
If you don't understand computers and emails enough to protect yourself then IMHO you shouldn't be using them. You wouldn't drive a car if you didn't know what to do or try juggling knives so why do people who all want to do Banking/ecommerce etc think they shouldn't at least know about the tool they are using

Same here, wonder if it's the same bank! I went through a stage of reporting them to the phishing e-mail at the bank concerned but you never get a response or hear anything about it, so I just delete them now.

That’s a bit harsh. Oh! I forgot! You seem to consider that if someone doesn’t know something they must be an idiot.
The general public needs reminding of Internet scams because each day a newcomer to the scene logs on and they are probably green. Just like a granddaughter who only recently joined us in cyber space. In spite of hearing horror stories she hadn’t a clue what to look out for. I set her right about computer security and the do’s and dont’s of passwords and email scams.
