Warning for facebook users ...

As this is on the bbc website i thought it might be of use to those facebook users who dont know about it.

More importantly wss teh security hole that was left open for 4 months!

Basically a flaw in the code for Facebook meant that you would think you were on Facebook but the content could be served up by a malicious 3rd Party. They knew about it for 4 months and only fixed it when a Geek website published teh fact that it had taken them so long.

I have had the virus sent to me through a friend i didnt open it as in the link it had bad spelling and looked dodgy so just left it there its gone now.

Never been tempted myself derek, I'd sooner have sites like ours. The new Blackburn 247 is a bit like face book, and I didn't like it really, but Michael has added a forum now so I may just start going back on regularly when it takes of a bit

I'd never open any link, on anything even from a friend. Unless it was something I knew for definate that they were sending it. Have been sent a few of these through Facebook, and I dont even open the message, because you can tell with the subject what it is. It gets deleted straight away.
