I know, Jaysay, the truth is often hard to take but I bear no one in Ossy any ill-will; I fully understand what you are all going through and you have my deepest sympathies. However, I shall continue with my recordings and all I suuggest is that you continue to read and learn.

Re: whats church really like???
Hyndburn woman arrested after partner stabbed (From Lancashire Telegraph)
Their house is a mess and we always see them out in front drinking on the street.
"Most of the rest of the time they just drink indoors.”
Lion St is mentioned in this thread as 'quiet'

I notice that she originally came from Ossy. That explains everything.

Hey you, leave Ossy alone, or I'll withdraw your entry visa

So instead of some of you lot complaining about Church, you should be bloody grateful that we're there. I'm quite sure that should Church declare UDI from Hyndburn, then the rest of the borough would rapidly sink to the level of a third world hole such as Bangladesh, Upper Volta or Burnley. So think on that.

God I love it when get going.......
I live on Church Street 40 odd years ago and loved it; still do. (but I don't live anywhere near there now)
Do your ground work; get up there and walk around and see how you feel within yourself. Good Luck.

I lived on Maden St from '56 to I suppose '64 - wife went back to live with my Mum when I went off to Borneo for 12 months (13 actually). Church was a nice quiet place to live, we easily sorted out any local problems, only ever took 2 or 3 of us to do that.
Then we started to suffer the influx of Commonwealth citizens, the start ofr the slippery slope

When I left Church in 2002 there was only one asian family that I knew of, and they were well respected. The trouble came from the local 'natives'

Re: whats church really like???
To me, it is very dissapointing to hear people putting down Church. It was a great place to live like your town, but politicians are to blame for the nastiness I can see coming out of this thread. The Politician's have done this to the area, not the people who live there.Start getting nasty with them, not your neighbour's.The same thing is happening here. They think we are sucker's.
May'be they are right.
