A missing hero???

This is a postcard of pals of the east lancs irish front. It fell out of the jubilee book on the previous thread. After a bit of research i have found out that the man missing from the postcard must be Ellis morrison 18531 pte of 404 blackburn road. Of what i can make out on the back of the postcard it says...this is a photo of our squad you will see me on the right 2nd stood up harry on the left.got a letter from wilf today it is a poor photo.
him and wilfred morrison 20497 pte royal marines are both listed in the absent voters list of 1918 for the church district anyone know anything about these two soldiers are has anyone got one of these postcards that has not been cut out?

Re: A missing hero???

You should get a pretty fast answer if you put the piccy on this site:

http://1914-1918.org/forum/index.php?showforum=1

You'll need to register there first, but once on you'll find the guys on there really know their stuff. You'll need to open a new thread under the "soldiers" section and also see if you can enlarge the piccy a bit.

I suggest you also email Andrew Jackson on the Accy Pals website, because he'll be very interested in this picture. I'm a bit confused about the "East Lancs Irish Front"...I'm not sure if we're looking at the 11th East Lancs here or another unit; whatever, the "Irish front" bit is odd.

Andrews site is:

http://www.pals.org.uk/pals_e.htm

His email address is at the bottom of the home page.
