Yep, this book is a gem. I am the lucky owner of one also. They were given out to school kids in 1928, so there are probbly lots still around, now owned by grandchildren. It has some brilliant photos in it.
From the same period I have a commerative Medal, It has the coat of arms on one side & the Town Hall on the other, it's not in mint condition I think it has been somewhere damp at some time but everything on it is clear enough. I'll bring it in for you to see next time I call for a pint & either you or Mick can photograph it & put it on here.

Hi Staggering Man. The Jubilee book, I have two of them somewhere. If you look at the town maps on page 47-48 if I remeber correctly. Well I've redrawn them, they are now on a sheet of plastic 3ft 6in by 2ft 6in, with those estate plans redrawn to the same scale, so they can be overlaid to showthe land boundries.
Hi, Does anyone else have a copy of this brilliant book, my mother used to have a copy but somehow this can no longer be found, and I would love to have another copy of it, Kind Regards Joppy 1
