You mean to say cherokee he's still awake he aint fallen asleep yet?
Humberstones was on the other corner - across the road from the outside market. That was until it went belly up and its now Mannings.

My friend, her husband (whose name is Dennis), and a bus enthusiast friend and myself were in Peel Street many years ago. She said to her husband, whilst pointing at a bus. "Just look at that woman driving that, Dennis." to which the friend responded. "It's a 'Guy'. " to which Dennis replied. "No, It's definitely a woman!"

omg...that brings back memories those pics....I remember when we used to hide upstairs, before the conductor came and see if we cud get off before we had to pay, but we always got caught

When did these buses stop being used?? I have a vague recolection of the single decker ones. I was born in 1983.

dunno when they stopped but it was when ribble took over, and in 83 I was 11!!! so I remember them very well....lol
