more great pictures .....is the old car in the picture of little Blackburn Road an Austin 7 ?...or...is it a Morris ?

The one driving towards the camera looks a little too wide to be an Austin7.
My dad had one - reg no HG114 - He ran it on paraffin during the petrol rationing

how long ago was the slaters demolished? wasn't yon when i was a toddler, also can anyone explain why it says "Peel" on burnley rd side of the Broadway? great photo jeff.

Because it was called the Peel's Arms before The Broadway Hotel....

Did ask earlier about Spring Mill .. anyone got any drawings/photos of that? Seemed to be the heart of the town at one time, but can't find much about it.
