Christ Church Street/Square

We live in exciting times. There have been many postings over the last few years on accy web about how various streets in the town have had their names changed, and now it looks like it's going to happen again. I have heard fromn a source in the Town Hall that, because Christ Church church is no longer so called, having been changed to Trinity because of two other churches closing down, Christ Church Street and Christ Church Square may be getting changed to Trinity Street/Square. Christ, is nothing sacred? The locals will be up in arms when it becomes common knowledge.

Interesting Bob. I wonder if anyone who lives up that way might bite on that one.

Re: Christ Church Street/Square

It seems that I have been taken in by a lst April story, probably started by local residents or boozers in the Park Inn. It wouldn't have surprised me though that Hyndburn Council would allow another street to be called Trinity when there already is one ( up Ossie) . Indeed, if we had got a Trinity Street & Trinity Square, that would have made three Trinities, which would have made the necessary three - a trio of Trinities.,- or should that be a triple?
