Haslingdon road

Does anyone know what or is now at 129 Haslingdon road in the 1930's my grandad died there although he did'nt live there and i'm interested to know why

The Blackburn Union Workhouise - it became Queen's Park Hospital. Such places were often given 'anonymous' addresses to give some degree of protection for someone who might have been embarassed to say "I live in the workhouse" People were often there on a temporary basis. I have no doubt that the residents of 'Moorlands' at Rawtenstall were afforded the same protection.
