Is this true?

I have read that our football team Accrington Stanley were so called because their first meetings were held in the Stanley Arms pub in Stanley Street.

What is the building today. I dont know the answer to this.

The building is on the corner of Stanley Street and Washington Street. I think it is used by the Army Cadets or someone similar.
