Lancashire Day - 27th November

Since 1992(?) there has been an official 'Lancashire day' It is always on 27th November

Instigated by the Friends of Real Lancashire(FORL), it is intended thatr on this day Lancastrians shall shout to the world of their pride in the old county, of which the Queen is the Duke. That date was chosen because in the 13th century, it was the date on which the first representatives of the county met in London with the then equivalent of parliament.

Read more about it on the website of the FORL :- www.forl.co.uk

It may be a good moment for you to think abiout what you could do on Lancashire day (besides wearing a red rose.)

See my posting in this forum under the heading The Lancashire Flag.
