Lancashire Day

Lancashire Day is 27th November. Think 'Lancashire' - red rose, good food, friendliness. I expect that the Mayor will be present to hear a crier read the Loyal Proclamamion at 11am when Lancastrians declare their loyalty to The Queen, the Duke of Lancaster. See thewebsite of The Fiends of Real Lancashire

Re: Lancashire Day

I like it Dave. I think a better wording would be 'but if you're from Lancashire, you're near enough' PM on its way to you. I'll try top find you some sales

Re: Lancashire Day

Have a look at the official flag of Lancashire - a red rose on a yellow background- on the website of the Friends of Real Lancashire. (FORL) A Scottisj city had already lodged a claim for a red rose on a white background before the Lancashire claim was put into the Flag Institute.

Re: Lancashire Day

Associating itself with Lancashire Day on the Wednesday, Radio Lancashire are concentrating on Lancashire-related material all week and are broadcasting from a different place in the county each day. On Monday morning, I am on with Graham Liver to discuss the day's papers over coffee and to mention Lancashire stuff. Bank on it - I will do my best to mention Accrington.
