You will have to be more precise. Sandy Lane starts at the junction with Adelaide St, and continues up to Blue Slates.

Re: New Puzzle for Katex.
As you go up Sandy Lane, past the college and past Heathland, there's a house that looks like the one on the right in your picture. It's been renovated a lot. I think it's opposite the school (St Annes and St Josephs? - not sure what the school is called).

Do you mean just past Barnfield Rd & Broad Oak Lane junction on Sandy lane, if so your right, but what was it known as. The other properties had been there a long time, a real old area of Accrington.
The house thats been done up was the home of the chaufeur for MacCalpine's.
I got his name wrong its was Crowe not Croasdale.

Didn't have a sister called Kathleen did he ? Was funny, I used to be friendly with her at school. When we were together, asking our names caused amusement, as my maiden name was Rooks ...
Well done Gayle .. am going to hand over my pointy hat.
Have an idea of the name, but not sure ..need to be able to prove it to our quizmaster.

Re: New Puzzle for Katex.
Is it the one on the corner of Ascot Way?
Was it a Coach House?

Okay Katex.
I'll give you that one, but its real name was Broad Oak fold, that tree is supposed to be the oak. Do you know how many Folds there were in Accrington, and why they were called Folds. Or would you rather have a new picture puzzle.
