Oct Quiz 1
Wonder if you are aware we have just two Georgian bays here in Accrington.
Anyone like to guess, then I will post photos?

Re: Oct Quiz 1
To be honest, not much idea really. I was in a meeting the other day and we were talking about the town's Victorian heritage and someone said that part of Warner St was Georgian. I may have got that completely wrong

Re: Oct Quiz 1
Must admit not too sure what you mean by Georgian Bay Atarah ? Do you mean a Georgian style 'bay' window rather than the flat ones.
Isn't there one something like this on Abbey Street .. oh hek, would have to go and look.

Wonder if it is that little cafe ? Warner Street does appear to make it into the Georgian period Gayle .. built 1821 ... Georgian period finished 1830.
Hang on ... not Marsden's Leather shop is it ? They have bowed windows ?
When you say 2 ... is there another location then ?

Re: Oct Quiz 1
Sorry if not explained correctly, I mean a rounded "bay" - rounded stonework if you will, certainly the ones I am after have windows in - and we have two, in different locations, and yet, they are not that far apart. One you could even class as "a double in the one location" I suppose.

Is the double not Marsdens though ? Wadey has one in the gallery .. but doesn't look like stonework around it. Hope ya' don't mind Wadey.

They have gotta all be in that area as possibly built before 1830... Oak Street, Warner, etc. 'cept for a few mansions, like Sparth House in Clayton.

Re: Oct Quiz 1
The house at the top of Wellington Street, that used to be Bew's shop?
