Yup! the first Coconut of the day goes to Beermonster. it is Kendal's Hotel on Blackburn Road Just opposite the top of Ellison Street. Anyone know anything interesting about it or it's guests?

Well done! I just KNEW I knew them, but .. couldn't figure out where i had seen them! Dont know owt about this hotel, but ... if walls could talk! This was once a very important hotel when The Hippodrome was in its heyday and I imagine maybe even the "stars" stayed there

Magna Carta stayed there when they played in Accrington and I went to Glen Stuart's 33rd birthday there. It was in much better condition back then.

It was a heck of a long time ago and the part I was invited into was the private residence of the owners if I remember so it was rather like a very nice house.

No, I'm afraid not. I'd not really taken any notice of it until one day a few years ago when a potential visitor asked me about hotels in the area and then I realised that all the ones we used to have seemed to have dwindled.
