Care Home: Rough Lee House
Just been reading this thread again, that link to Care Home; Rough Lee House. its at the top of Rough Lee Rd, Acc, and has a BB5 post code, local authority Blackburn with Darwen. I thought Blackburn was BB5 as well so where is BB2.

Still doen't mek sense, every street in a mile radius of Rough Lee Hospice has a BB5 post code, so how can that small plot of land at the top of Rough Lee Rd, Accrington, have a BB2 postcode

Maybe they want their mail directed to an office in Blackburn.

Re: Roughlee Nursing Home Accrington

It's obviously a mistake. BB2 5DG is Tetbury Close Blackburn.

Correct code for Rough Lee House/Home according to Royal Mail is BB5 2LN

Rough Lee House care home, Rough Lee Road, Accrington, Lancashire BB5 2LN

My birthday is March 14th

My eldest son was born in Roughlee in 1971 and his brother was born at Bramley Meade 1 year and 1 day later

Re: Roughlee Nursing Home Accrington

Just found this thread. I was born at Roughlee too. I wonder if 'Roughlee' who started the thread ever got her picture of 32 Burnley Lane,Huncoat. I knew the lady next door at 30.She lived there all her life so would be there when 'Roughlee' lived at 32.

Re: Roughlee Nursing Home Accrington

Just seen this thread.

I was born there in 1950. (Dad told the story that I very nearly wasn't, because he couldn't get the car started.)

Mum said that when she got there, the matron insisted she have a bath, and I was almost born while she was in the bath.
