Viewing plaque on the top of the Coppice

Hi, can anyone help. Am trying to find information re the viewing plaque which the Civic Trust were involved with, c1988. (possibly half circle shape).

The idea was that this plaque would be of great help in allowing walkers and sightseerers to see the names of the hills which they could see in front of them!

Apparently it was the brainchild of a former chairman of the Civic Trust, a Mr Keith Digby and was designed by Mr Jim Pilling, chairman of the Trust's projects committee. The plaque was on a stone plinth. At the time, seven local firms were involved in the sponsorship.
Anyone know owt about it? Am trying to help someone who is trying to find just what detail was on the original plaque.

This was vandalised many many years ago.
