Resting in Peace

Civic Trust concern.

It was pointed out at recent meetings, by one of our members, that there does appear to be lots of overhanging trees and bushes from people's properties onto the public pavement at low level throughout Hyndburn. This presents difficulties for blind people and also they force pedestrians to go into the road. Please take a look at your own trees and your neighbours. Thank you. x

Judith Addison pointed me to this site, but think some streets may be HBC's responsibility ?

See Highways Act 1980, Section 154 - Any such obstructions of the public highway should be reported to Lancashire Highways on their central number 0845 053 0011. Wonder if the telephone number will get deleted ?
