Re: ex homebargin store....
Accrington and its charity / pound shops really doesn't appeal to me, I feel sorry for the odd decent shop that must struggle to attract custom.

Re: ex homebargin store....
It goes from bad to worse. Shopping in Accrington is going to become a total non-event. I know I buy straws at the pound shop but you can't buy clothes there!

So they won't be using the upstairs in the new shop? why not just close the upstairs section in the one there in now, save them moving

Re: ex homebargin store....
We don't buy that much in town anymore, apart from fresh veg and birthday cards, we tend to go out of town for everything else.
There's just nowhere decent anymore. I wonder what will open in the corner one once it's moved?

thats exactly what we do, we go to Manchester or Preston for Reece's clothes and to do other bits of shopping, theres nothing in Accy and Blackburn anymore, well not until they find a builder to build this new Mall in Blackburn anyway

I think the old shop has less space on the ground floor than the new one. It's hard for some people and impossible for others to get upstairs. I just hope they don't stop selling some lines if they can't fit them in though because I don't see the sense in paying more than £1 for something that's only worth £1.
As for the corner shop - I don't imagine it being anything interesting because Accrington just can't seem to support interesting shops.

Re: ex homebargin store....
It has been years since ive been in that poundshop, i CANNOT get round it with my double buggy. The aisle are quite narrow and they always have displays sat in the middle of the aisles making it impossible to get round it. A lot of shops are the same, they seem to forget about us with double buggy's, wheelchairs, mobility scooters etc, they are a complete nightmare

Re: ex homebargin store....
The new shop will either be - an opticians, a card shop, a bakery i.e greggs etc. Of course thats if its not a pound shop.
