Re: Graffiti
I do think a purpose built wall somewhere out of the way would be helpful as it would stop the bast***s spraying my fence. Sick of repainting it

Re: Graffiti
I have websearched anti-graffiti paint, and it is horrendously expensive.
A more cost effective long term solution would be to replace the fence with chain link metal fencing.

I suspect that would be illegal - and by using spray they don't touch the fence - I don't know whether the jet of spray would transmit the charge to the can holder -- anyway why waste the leccy?

Would probably still cause problems as graffiti artists don't like it when they spray over each others work, it's disrespectful.
I agree with Garinda over Banksy, he isn't anything particular special and his artwork will lose worth eventually, so it'd be crap to have him spray his half arsed images on your wall.
I have a poster of his work up given to me by a friend, and the actual skill in his work is poor. He doesn't even seem to make an effort to match his stencils up.

Re: Graffiti
I have just gone out to look at my garage (after hearing what heard like a shaking spray can and seeing school children walking away) to find yet another load of fresh graffiti on my garage door and on the road down the back. I have never painted may garage door since moving in as it seems that people are constantly leaving "their mark" on my garage door so I dont really want to waste my time and money if this is going to ontinue to happen. Before, during lunch and after school there are often groups of children hanging around there smoking, littering and graffiting my garage and fence. I knw that the majority of what is happening is being caused by the pupils form the local school. Should I report this to the school?? or maybe the local bobby?? Is there much point in me doing this, will anything be done?? Or should I just leave it??
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks all

Re: Graffiti
I doubt whether reporting it will stop it, and may cause the little lovies to vengefully do it more.
As you are a tenant you are likely to be responsible for interior redecorating only.
There are special anti graffiti paints which will mean that the graffiti will be easily removed by soap and water (and maybe rain), but I have just googled and found they cost £40 a litre

My recommendation would be to paint the garage door and keep the left over paint. The second anyone puts graffiti on it paint straight over it.
We have a gable end wall that must look like a lovely blank canvas to anyone and there have been spells when we've had graffiti (we're on a walking short cut to Rhyddings) but we immediately paint over anything that happens and I think they get bored.

Re: Graffiti
The problem is that whilst it looks like that it's an open invitation to other people to put graffiti on - it looks uncared for and unloved. If you paint it then it looks like it belongs to someone and if you immediately paint out any new graffiti it sends a clear message to any one who considers it again.
