Agree ... wondered where you were. Pleased ok.
Not a lot going on still .. have collected a few over the last weeks:
'Course, you know about these anyway :
Accrington Academy
11/10/0478 Full: Construction of synthetic grass all 26/10/2010
weather pitch with floodlighting, 3m high
mesh fence and kick-board
Accrington Academy Queens Road West
Accrington BB5 4FF
Accrington Academy
11/10/0477 Full: Erection of single storey building to 25/10/2010
accommodate school swimming pool and
external works to include hardsurfacing,
landscaping and parking
Accrington Academy Queens Road West Accrington BB5 4FF
This is a resubmission .. didn't pick up on it before. It is the large house next to Dyke Nook ... seems a shame to pull it down, but maybe it is beyond repair ?
11/10/0488 Full: Demolition of existing house and 01/11/2010
garage, erection of replacement house and
garage, widening of access and alterations to
rear boundary wall (Resubmission
270 Whalley Road Accrington
BB5 5DQ
Mr. M. Hussain.
Turned down mainly because the new building was not in keeping with its surroundings, etc.

Re: Planning Applications
re the 270 Whalley road application, have just had a look on google earth, why knock it down, its a good looking building with plenty of garden space, perhaps a change of "roof" stye was on the cards

After having played for several years in pain, yes it's great to walk round a golf course with no pain
After viewing the house on google earth, its not a flag pole or flag, it could be the proposed new "roof" line and height
I must say the house as it stands looks good

Would be interesting to know the history of that house. It is a fine building I agree.

Re: Planning Applications
Out of curiosity has anybody seen any planning permission for a sandwich bar on Peel St to become a taxi office. I assume it would be required ?

Re: Planning Applications
It's the Sea Cadets place. Behind what use to be the vets on Whalley Rd, on the canal tow path. It's all that area there, that's the Clayton Triangle. We've been trying to get some investment there for a long time.
