Tex Mex Bar

Dont know if any of you have noticed but the oaklea chippy on whalley rd (What used to be tracys fish bar) has now employed a chef and is doing Mexican take away meals on Thurdays, Fridays and Saturday evenings, between 6 and 10pm, There is a min order for delivery which is £8 or if under that a £2 charge applies. I have tried it and found it damn good and its not badly priced either. Just thought i would let everyone know. Call in and grab a menu or ring them if ou have one on 395511.

Re: Tex Mex Bar

What sort of stuff do they do, we love Mexican.

There used to be a takaway a couple of years ago that just delivered but it closed down.

Makes a nice change to the usual chippy, chinese or Indian.

Re: Tex Mex Bar

Found a menu put through the letterbox today

We ordered a seafood platter and a chicken fajitas, found it very good value for money, well worth a try.

Re: Tex Mex Bar

tried it on friday night...didnt enjoy it as they put too much chillis in the food...and the buffalo wings were too greasy for my liking but hey thats just me !
but I have to say that the portions you get are more than enough for 2 never mind for 1 !
in that respect great value for money..just not to my liking due to the chilli count !
but I would like to go back and try the spicy soup...

Re: Tex Mex Bar

Yum Yum, went on Thursday night after work and I must say I was impressed.

A little on the expensive side, although I dont know any other Mexican take-away to compare to. Took a tenner thinking would be plenty, but I had to really scrape the pennies together to get what I wanted.

Loads and loads of choice, and a plentiful supply when you get it.

Cost me just over a tenner for a large Nachos and Chicken Fajhitas. I go to Walton Arms in Altham a lot and always order this meal, whereas that would cost almost £20 so the take-away shop was definately worth it. Was equally as good as Walton Arms.
