Re: England wins a game of cricket

It has been a long time coming!
Was it contrived, so that England still have the chance of reaching the finals?
After all, England would be a bigger draw, with regards to bums on seats, than the Kiwis. Having experienced the Test and One Day International matches recently, it is patently obvious that the natives would like nothing better than to knock over the Poms and humiliate them yet again.

Re: England wins a game of cricket

I must admit it's a change to get some good news from Australia, I wondered why my sister rang me up from there last night (she's been there that long she's 'Ausyfied')

Thumbs up Re: England wins a game of cricket

A great result and fighting spirit by a somewhat makeshift England team.

A special mention should go to Paul Collingwood for some top notch cricket, not just with his batting and bowling, but also in the field. He must be worth 20 runs per innings, in the field, to England.
Perhaps that wife-beating yorkshire git, Boycott, (*)would like to reconsider his recent diatribe aimed in Colly's direction, in light of his contribution to the England cause.

Perhaps Channel 9 will pull the "Tonk a Pom" Ford Advert, which they took great delight in churning out at every available opportunity.

* Forum decorum and swear filters deny me the platform to voice my true feelings of this opinionated commentator.
