Should Henman just retire?
i mean its sad seeing a player who was good at a point but just draggin the corpse around first round knock-outs etc?
i can understand why a person wudnt want to let go of that popularity that once existed but now its just dire...

Try telling that to Martina.
Oh hang on, she actually won something in the first place.
Will they have to rename Henman Hill if Timbo retires?

Re: Should Henman just retire?
I think he should retire, I agree with G its different if you've actually won something, but maybe thats why he keeps going, doesn't stand a chance against the young ones now though.

Re: Should Henman just retire?
It would be better to go now probably before he gets worse.

WIMBLEDON USED TO BE FUN,
But money changed all that,,,,,,I wish we could have the oldies back,,(as they were in their youth) the friendly rivalry...of Jimmy Conners and Eli Nastasi etc,,,,,

Re: Should Henman just retire?
If Henman goes out at this Wimbledon then he should stop the game. His sucess is over really and should retire before it gets worse for him. However thats see how it goes at wimbeldon , everyone doesnt like him at the minute but i bet if he gets quite far in it then the whole of britian once more will be singing his praises because for some reason i dont think murray will get that far as he hasnt been playing for 4 to 5 weeks.

Re: Should Henman just retire?
think he shudda retired 10 years ago, never been top class, just our best which shows the sad state of british tennis, young murray is better now than henman ever was n hes a kid yet.

Re: Should Henman just retire?
Just to make a point.. "henmans Hill" may have to get a name change.. when I moved here I used to watch Millwall at the Old Den from a hill that had a pretty good view of the whole ground.. no stawberry's n cream.. more like bottles of cider... it was locally was known as " Paupers Hill"..yes for them that were skint! but of course the middle class scroungers at Wimbleden would never admit to getting something for free.... Sheep I say!!

Re: Should Henman just retire?
It all depends really on this years wimbeldon i dont think hes going to do well and has a tuff first game if he does well in this wimbeldon then i think he should carry on however if he fails to make a mark this year then i agree with most of you that he should retire.
