Track day

I went to Brands Hatch (in Kent) yesterday to do a track day on a motorbike.

This has got to be one of the best track experiences I have had. I have never done this sort of thing before, and I had never used the bike before, but by the end of the day I was leaning it right over, and scraped the ground a couple of times.

Here's a pic (let's hope this works!):

Re: Track day

Hire bike Mate?

I keep playing with the idea of a track bike, nowt fancy, an old TCat or even FZR600. I get a lot of pleasure of ringing every last ounce from a bike rather than riding say a Gixer Thou where it is difficult to get near teh limits of the bike

Looks like you were enjoying yourslef though

Re: Track day

Not a hire bike - my brother in law bought it.

He said that he would hang on to it if I wanted to do more track days. After the first 2 sessions I wasn't too sure, but once I was used to the bike and the track, I was able to throw it around a bit and enjoyed myself immensely!

I want to go and do it again!

When my business finally takes off and I start to earn some decent money, I shall try and make a point of going at least every couple of months, but at the moment my muscles still ache a bit!
