Blue Ray

Excuse me for sounding silly, but whats the difference between Blue Ray DVDs and ordinary, I've just got a new TV and part of the deal was a blue ray DVD obviously I haven't got any discs to try it out, I know I can still play ordinary DVDs, so is it that much better

Re: Blue Ray

Jaysay, I was told that that if your TV isn't 37 inches upwards you won't be able to see the improved picture quality(which is superb). So spending the extra money on Blue-ray discs(they're not cheap) would be wasted.
Don't know if it's true but worth checking if relevant.

Re: Blue Ray

resolution/viewing size makes a wonderful discussion, can you see teh diffreence at 37"? yes you can. I certainly can. its the difference between running your screen at 800x600 and 1920x1200. ( as DVD is 576 lines, against HD 1080).

No Neil I just upgrade, when the only enjoyment you have in life is sitting on a chair at your compute screen taking the **** out of you, and watching the TV why not have the best
