Diversity ? Well, they were OK I suppose ... comment was 'perfectly in step', but to be honest just found them a hotch potch of reforming lines and chucking a couple of kids around. I preferred Flawless. Better dance groups around backing singers, least they are trained.

Still, we all have different ideas about being entertained don't we.
Flawless were out of time on more than one occasion.

Diversity's choreography was much more exciting and current, and they were in complete synchronicity with each other. The only time they weren't was when the little lad's afro kept bouncing, after they'd all frozen stock still at one particular point.

The precision of their hand movements, when they were doing those three insects, showed much greater skill than any classically trained Balinese dancers.

Their dance moves were much more inventive, as well as exhibiting humour, with the head/buzzers/audition etc.

Up until tonight both dance troupe acts were very good, but I didn't think either stood a chance, but after the (not quite) Flawless Michael Jackson parody (purleaseeee, twenty odd year old music, and moves), along came Diversity and blew everyone else out of the competition.

I hadn't been their champion, and I had no intention of bothering to vote for anyone, but I guess a lot of other people must have felt the same, and made them the ultimate winners.

As was posted earlier, we all appreciate different things, and that makes the world a richer place.

I thought Hollie did well tonight, she was like a different person to yesterday, much more confident in herself. I read in the paper today that Simon Cowell had one set of adverts axed in order to make time for her to sing twice yesterday.....bet that didn't come cheap.
Hollie, a very sweet little girl, but whose singing is a little shrill for my taste.

I liked her first audition, but the comparisson with the mature vocals of Julie Andrews and Petula Clarke, when they were children, was way off the mark.

I know my Scrabble partner's been on 'holiday' last week, but I have a sneaky suspicion it was actually Gayle running on to the stage, and on camera, to comfort Hollie, and not the girl's mother.

Lol, sorry to disappoint but I voted for Diversity.

I don't buy into that whole 'vote for Hollie because she's our local lass thing' and I certainly didn't buy into the 'vote for Susan Boyle because she's got a good voice in a rough package' either. I couldn't decide between Diversity and Flawless up until last night but after last night's performance it was a no brainer for me.

Diversity were fantastic and well worth their win, in fact the whole show was a good nights entertainment. Even though Susan didn't win she will be made for life and will end up with millions in the bank, and I just say good luck to all those who appeared and hope it helps to mould their futures

Just been reading some of the comments on the online newpaper sites.

The whole world hates us, no change there then, for not voting the Susan Boyle the winner.

One woman, claiming to be a teacher at 'America's top music school', was particularly vitriolic on the Daily Mirror's website. Though her appalling grasp of the English language made me wonder if she'd have made better use of her time in the classroom, rather than the dance studio.

The whole world wants her?

After the dire rendition of Memory, they're welcome to her.

I wish her well, though I do worry for her. It was nice to see her dignity when she lost, then the nerves got to her again, and we saw a flash of thigh, and a flash of someone who doesn't seem able to cope very well with all the hype.

I haven't watched any of it on tv, so decided to look for a youtube clip to see what all the fuss is about.
I watched 3 performances of Diversity and I am impressed.

I like rubbish TV, but had never bothered with BGT until this series.

It's highly manipulative, and heavily edited, but there are some very talented people out there, and it's good to see them.

You've given the thumbs up to Diversity, what's your judgement on 'world class' Susan Boyle?

Though in fairness she does sing the Les Mis song better.

I couldn't watch that clip because 'embedding disabled'
I did see the youtube clip of her 1st appearance and thought 'nice voice', but good singers are 10 a penny aren't they?
A modern excellent dance troup are a rare novelty.

I've seen better on the stage in the Town Hall.

Re: Britain's Got Talent

Susan Boyle has a good voice, there's no doubt about that, but she's nothing out of the ordinary apart from the way she looks. I am convinced the Americans made a great fuss of her because they thought she was "not quite right"; I think they look on her as a sort of Forrest Gump. I was very glad she didn't win because we have X-Factor for singers and this is supposed to be about Variety. In any case, Susan won't lose out, she will be offered plenty of work. I just hope she gets over her apparent fixation with Piers Morgan and doesn't start stalking him - or worse.

It comes as no surprise to me that the saxophonist has already recorded albums. It's as unsurprising as the fact that Shaheen Whatshisface has appeared on TV and in the theatre several times.

The majority of the finalists were good but not spectacular. I felt very sorry for the little lad who did the body-popping, as Cowell made him cry, but he wasn't a dancer and, to be truthful, he only did what a lot of kids do in the playground, only he did it a bit better. There was no need to be so scathing of him, though, but Cowell wasn't going to make any money out of him, was he? It so contrasted with the way Hollie was treated.

Diversity were exceptionally good, I couldn't fault anything they did, but I doubt they've got much of a future in show-biz. Still, that's not what this contest is about - is it? I still think Stavros Flatley should have won, I laughed until I cried when they did the "Irish" dancing, and it shouldn't matter that they won't be a regular Act. It's just a shame that, in the end, everything comes down to who can make the most money for the promoters.
