I like the guy who played the saxophone ... could be a good contender to Susan Boyle ... and would be lovely to see a musician win instead of a singer.

Though the guy playing the sax was excellent.Had the cool look, his sax playing brought a lump to my throat(perfect tune to play to),his plea for recognition did'nt tear the heart to pieces...just wanted to do well for his family...Hope he wins it.Susan Boyles got a great voice but is'nt she in danger of becoming a novelty because of her looks etc.

Re: Britain's Got Talent
I reckon the sax player has it in the bag, he exuded talent, maybe too much though? I would love to see him win but it will no doubt be some small child or a dancing dog !!

Re: Britain's Got Talent
i liked the sax player and i like the song he chose.. but i wouldnt have chosen that song, i would have shosen something a bit more spectacular, like the saxplayer on americas got talent, the one that looked like he had adhd and had eaten a full sweet shop (i also wouldnt have played a soprano but thats just me )

I didn't think the sax player was anything out of the ordinary.
I thought he was good, but no better than any busker in the street.

Re: Britain's Got Talent
I thought the sax player was very good, would like to hear him play 'aria', I love that tune. I heard today that the kid who simon cowell stoped mid song, is actually a relative of his, or maybe sinita's?

Re: Britain's Got Talent
The saxophonist was good but no better than any you'd find in any good orchestra. The soprano sax is a bit unusual and he played an evocative piece of music but I didn't think he was particularly outstanding.

Not sure West Ender .. not an expert on saxophonists, but was just the whole picture to me .. his personality, dress ... x-factor stuff. That's what gets people noticed. As Susan Boyle .. decent voice .. just different from the rest of the glam. vocalists seeking fame and fortune.... ex-factor again. There are lots of people in choirs and backing groups who are just as good as the well-known singers ... luck of the draw.
Sure he is pretty good as far as saxophonists are concerned .. had been playing for years, and a music teacher to boot.
Didn't enjoy the young lad though ... always a little strange when these young people have a voice beyond their years ... the songs don't quite match their immaturity somehow. Bordering on the edge of precautiousness . a quality I don't like ... different than confidence.

Quite agree with your thoughts on the young lad kate, kind of takes me back to the days of Op Knocks and Bonny Langford, didn't like her then and still don't today.

Re: Britain's Got Talent
I think Susan Boyle is good but...... Why do I get the feeling that, if she was attractive and well-dressed, she would have been treated as "average" by Cowell & Co., the audience, the viewing public and the rest of the world? The Americans are all over her like a rash because they think there's something wrong with her. She has a good voice, granted, but it's only really exceptional because it's coming out of her body.

Re: Britain's Got Talent
There is a 10 year old from Accy, Hollie Steel, on tomorrow's show who according to Times online is hotly tipped to give Susan Boyle a run for her money, time for a bit of town support if the little lass gets thru I think.
