Naw not really! But I am wondering if they were going to bring it back and asked for suggestions about how the plot would be for the first episodes to start it again - what would you think would be a good opening plot? All ideas are welcome! What characters would you like to see back in it?
Should be the usaual plot were scousers are either addicted to heroin or selling drugs, some make a living in the local takeaway or selling second hand washing machines..all have semi-detached houses with front and back gardens.. real life!
I saw on Breakfast news this morning that a firm in Liverpool are after an interpreter for their business, because customers can't understand the Liverpool accent

I thought of making it like "Ashes to Ashes" An elderly Jimi Corkhill gets knocked down by a hit and run driver and goes into a coma, meanwhile he's sent back to 80's Liverpool - Brookside where he as to settle a few old scores!
Ground breaking stuff in it's day, especially showing the real effects Britain suffered under Thatcher.
Love on the dole laaaaaaar.
Harry Cross. What a cult.
Used to see some of the younger cast in the Everyman bar most weekends.
Karen Grant, a scouse, pound shop Madonna. A young Denise Royle. Which isn't suprising, since they had the same parents.
Went stupid at the end, and deserved being killed off.
Great groovy track that - where does that "your so special" come from? I'm sure there was a song before with that line? Where was the "Everyman" bar?
They could relaunch "Brookside" I might pitch another of my ideas to Tony Redmond - he was the original producer I think? Liverpool needs a soap to promote it again - with the big intro and shots of the City! I never watch Hollyoaks which replaced it sort of as Channel 4's topical soap which is more orientated to kids not adults - I don't think there are many adults in that.
Everyman bar was/is three cavernous rooms under the Everyman theatre on Hope Street.
Really packed, and poular. All the bands used to go in, besides Brookie actors. Dead or Alive, Bunny Men, Pale Fountains, Frankie, and students. Art students, not those doing Physics, or P.E.
Many had to queue outside at the weekend.
Though I never did.

I think there should be a soap that is obviously in Liverpool - like Brookside was - Shameless is supposed to be in Liverpool or is it Manchester - that and Hollyoaks really could be anywhere as there are no landmarks that tell you what city it's in.
