That is because I did not agree with it. If someone else starts a download as you explained it and it prevents you downloading a 500k (or the new 800k) stream then your isp is naff.
Then you've missed the point of the thread. This is to do with buffering, not completion.

Not at all. What is the point of your upto 8meg broadband if you can't manage a continuous 500k download stream?

The reason it is buffered is to cope with slight slow downs in the first place. Can you increase the buffer size on iPlayer like you can with Winamp/VLC etc? Is so that may help.
