Re: dr who...
The slowest start to a two-parter we've had since 2005 but still not a disappointment although the..monsters...were rubbish.

Re: dr who...
I agree 2nd part better improve!
The new writing style suits matt smith's eccentric way of playing the doctor but I just feel it is not as sharp and as clever as Russell T

Possibly, but we're getting much less of the Doctor as a sex object wherever the TARDIS lands which suits me fine. We managed 42 years without it!

Re: dr who...
Having been working away for a week I've had two episodes to catch up on and have now seen them both.
I'm still disappointed with the look of the new Silurians but Cold Blood was very in keeping with what we already know about them and the closing scenes with the TARDIS fragment in the crack have got me hooked for the finale.
Vincent and the Doctor was more of a gentle episode and an examination of a historical character that we've never had before in any medium. I wasn't blown away by it but I'll admit to welling up when Dr Black was giving his summation of Van Gogh's work in the museum. Nice stuff.

Re: dr who...
Loved this weeks episode, great comedy value especially adding James Corden into the mix.
It made more of a light hearted episode even if upstairs was a bit sinister lol

Re: dr who...
Not seen it yet as the BBC moved it around the schedules for me AGAIN on both Saturday and Sunday so will wait till Friday on BBC3 but I've heard good reports.
One of my mates said that it was how Love and Monsters should have been.

Re: dr who...
It was absolutely dire!
It's something of a Marmite episode but I think it's obvious which side of the fence I'm sitting on. The only good thing about it was a pretty thinly veiled attack on Ian Levine....

Re: dr who...
So.....................`The Pandorica Opens`................what a load of old guff...i think this has been the weakest season of `New Who` so far but the first part of the season finale was more suited to an episode of `The Sarah Jane Adventures` ( which i do like) , I`ve grown to like Matt Smiths Dr but the style of writing just seems poor.....which is a shame, roll on the end next week and hopefully we will get a stronger episode...........

Re: dr who...
to be honest pipples, i actually thought that last weeks episode was the last because of how it ended, it wasn't until Anthony told me that it was a two-parter that i realised that that wasn't the end (i blame my blonde hair)

Re: dr who...
The Big Bang represents a good shift in Doctor Who production for me, less reliance on an army of Daleks invading Earth every thirteen episodes or resurrecting old companions and more on weaving story threads together. No Rose Tyler either, thankfully.
I'm loving Matt Smith as the new Doctor and hope we get a couple more seasons before he leaves the bow tie behind.
