Well, let me help you, when I said you were worn out, I did of course mean academically not physically!

"Thingy" as in the the word? Or is it one of the little smilie faces? Or none of these things mentioned?
My brain seems to have turned to mush since I had chemotherapy and I find "thingy" a very useful word on all sorts of occasions.

For variety there's also, Whatsit, Oojamaflip, Doodah or Gubbins.

Isn't the English language marvellous?

PS nearly forgot Whatjamacallit!

Re: Game of thrones (HBOS)

Anything by Home Box Office is always top notch.
My jailbroken Applebox has frozen so I can't watch the last 2 episodes remaining of GofT until it's fixed.

HBO's Deadwood for sheer aural assault with swear words Ian McShane plays Sheriff Al Swearingen... absolutely marvellous character.
Google "The number of ducks (sic) in Deadwood"
A few clips on youTube will give you a flavour.

As my mate Walter used to say "Thur's some reight salty dialogue in theer D"

It's a great story, with rich characters, goodies with faults and foibles who sometimes do bad things, baddies with humanity and honour who sometimes do good things, the main actors actually die without warning. It has great shock value, whether its the nudity, the violence or the sudden twist in the tale and I'm literally drooling in anticipation for series 4 next year.
Dragging this back to the original topic I have to agree with this consensus as I have read all of the books released so far and will probably start them again soon. Yes a lot has been left out of the series/ changed slightly for clarity for non book readers but it's still an excellent read/watch. Nudity never hurt anyone, I grew up watching Kenny Everett and as I am fond to say, nothing wrong with a bit of smut!
The author has actually been quoted as saying a lot of the storyline is based on history ***WARNING SPOILERS IN LINK FOR NON READERS**** 'Game of Thrones is more brutally realistic than most historical novels' | Television & radio | The Guardian

In the meantime I've ordered the box set of "A song of ice & fire" 7 books & a free Map of Westeros no less! to be going on with.
