Just a Minute!

Never thought Radio could transfer to the TV - but this week I've enjoyed watching Just a Minute on the Beeb.

Remember hearing in on the radio years ago - Nicholas Parsons is still presenting 45 years down the line. They have had some great panelists this week and it is very entertaining.

Giles Brandreth actually mentioned "Accrington in Lancashire" on the subject of "Cobblers" this afternoon - said his family came from there -then added it was a load of cobblers!!

Only complaint -there is no display showing the points each participant has.

I believe Little Britain and League of Gentlemen were originally on the radio.

Re: Just a Minute!

I rather like Nicholas Parsons - he has a sly sense of humour and is very quick for his age. Not stupid at all, it's not easy to mediate people like Stephen Fry and Julian Cleary for example and get laughs. They are very strong personalities and it takes a serious professional to work with them. Love his old fashioned stripy blazers too.

I preferred Hitch-Hikers on the Radio and as a book...

Awwwwww!
I was waiting for her to come back with, "five actually", then I was going to hit her with the sixth book, because that's the heaviest and the only one I have in hardback!

P.S. I even have the hhg adventure game for the PC, how sad is that? (a great game though).

Ya still won't persuade me to watch it, although I like Paul Merton

OOps sorry to spoil your fun, Less, but you know me, Doctor Pedantic... Couldn't leave that to fester overnight.

I see that there is now a hardback omnibus edition of the first five - that must be pretty heavy!

Great series from a great man, greatly missed.

Yes, I saw it and ordered it last night.

As for weight Jay, it's free postage so I don't care, you can't prop up a wobbly table with an online book when you've read it.
