No taking heroin wasn't a gamble! It was as safe as drinking a bottle of Vodka!

I have no regret at all for any drugs i have taken and am glad I took what I did. At least I know what I'm talking about and I "survived" it!

There is no connection between taking drugs and being a prostitute at all which you seem to be insinuating here!

What I am saying is that porn and gambling can harm an individual as drugs can. Just commenting that they have allowed more of these 2 "products" onto our TV sets - so they are saying that the public can get addicted to Porn and Gambling that's OK! But Drugs if you get caught we'll punish you!

I think that's hypocritical.

Thing with drugs they are not all for the same purposes - all drugs don't make people sell their bodies for crack and other stereo-typical attitudes about it.

I am not being provocative or trying to score points - I am saying that the Government are hypocritical to encourage "peep show porn" on TV sets and massively increase gambling shown on TV - both can cause serious addiction! But that's OK! Because Porn and Gambling are provided by the "friends" of the government!

Making a statement like that tells us that you might have survived so far but the damage has obviously been well and truely done, a fact you keep proving day after day on this site

You are talking nonsense - if I met you I would be able to match you on any intelligence test. Why should I regret taking drugs, just because people like you keep telling me I'm a bad boy for doing it and that I should be suffering because of it! Which is the attitude you have - you can't get it into your heads that a large percentage of people who have taken some reacreational drugs are not damaged by it! People have done more damage to my life than any drugs have ever done.

Pity you didn't see Amy Winehouses father this morning on TV, I feel sure you might just find he's another person who thinks your talking gaga

You appear to be getting extremely frustrated and wound up by the comments being made to you, yet you continue to respond. Surely you realise that people have the right to their own opinions whether they are founded on sound knowledge or research or simply based on their own values and beliefs. Nothing you say is likely to change their views and opinions so it is pointless trying to do so, or trying to appear clever by your apparently web based knowledge.
As for people apparently being rude to you, I must say that I have been extremely shocked to read some of the personal attacks you have made in particular on the legalising drugs thread (I refer especially to a comment you made to Garinda which I personally found to be particularly offensive.)
My point is that if you don't like what is being said to you or if you just cannot tolerate other peoples views then don't try to antagonise people and just stop posting. Otherwise, try a bit of tolerance!

I think that's hypocritical.
It seems to me that you have double standards.
You have made a statement, which I have highlighted in red above.
This goes against much of what you have been saying in the thread about illegal drugs.
And then you go on to say:-

The drugs you are keen to legalise, you tell us, are safe for recreational purposes.

I think that you are operating double standards here.
Gambling and pornography are no better that taking recreational drugs(I'm not saying that they are any worse either).....but it seems to me that you have advocated that responsible people, should be allowed to get their recreational highs in any way that they see fit.
Yet here you are, pontificating about the gambling and pornography that is available on TV.
What bit of pornography and gambling are you worried about? That because it is on TV it is accessible to children? My TV has parental lock on it....that alone would not stop a teenager from viewing such stuff as it is freely available on the internet.

This is not a personal insult to you(I am just saying it as I see it)......but I think it is time you got down from your high horse. It is clear that there isn't enough oxygen up there for you to function properly.

I am not worried about anything - the issue I am making is that the government is promoting gambling and porn which both have damaging effects - but Cannabis is illegal! It's that simple.

There are people posting here that attack straight away over the issue of these drugs and make personal claims about the effect of drugs on me.

Certain drugs can make people see through this society - all drugs are not the same.

There is a lot of conflicting reports about how harmful drugs are and there are those who will make attacks on me personally about drugs.

As for the statement I made, but I say this in response; like many other things in life if used wrong can cause damage, some people can be harmed by their "over use" of drugs but that is their responsibility!

Ken Kesey the man who wrote "One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest!" used various psychedelic drugs and lived till 66 (same age as Davy Jones)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Kesey

So did Timothy Leary and he lived to over 70!

I don't think that I have attacked you....I might be considered as attacking your logic and your argument.......I don't think I have slated you personally.

If you use even the simplest things in life wrongly, then you are in danger.

Every aspect of life has a risk attached to it....getting up every morning we do not know what we are to be faced with in that day.

The porn channels that you talk about, do not air in this country until very late...some are in the early hours of the morning....so young children, in the homes where parents are responsible, will be unlikely to be affected by them...and as I say the newer TV's have parental lock on them.
Porn of all kinds can be accessed via the internet at any time day or night....but then again responsible parents will try to minimise the risk to their teens by having some sort of parental lock on the sites that can be visited......even this is not foolproof.

We can only arm our children by giving them good role models and sound moral backgrounds.....this becomes harder for parents every day.

Back to drugs again....just because some drug users(who you perhaps think were responsible users) live to what you consider to be a good age, does not give weight to the argument that they are safe.

For every person you cite to have lived to a good age, there must be hundreds of people who have died early because of use of drugs......OK, many of these will not have hit the headlines because they were not famous....so it does skew the figures a bit.

There is no responsibility in using illegal drugs every person who uses illegal drugs leaves themselves open to the possibility of addiction to harder drugs and or mental illness.

I don't want to visit this drug argument/discussion again...it is a waste of my time, which is precious(and I might not have much left).

I am not particularly talking about you but others do attack about this issue, there is no discussion drugs are evil in their eyes (Garinda, jaysay)!

You can do a search on Google and within a couple of clicks see "rape scenes on repeating video adds" now Hariet Harman of Labour Party was supposed to be campaigning about Internet Porn but I don't know what happened to that?

OK you don't want to visit this again - I will sum up - I don't regret any drugs I've taken! Simple!

You've got me wrong, it is the legalise drugs that I do no wish to re-visit......and this thread wasn't initially about drugs.

You have no regrets......that is fine....but there are others who cannot say that, because they are dead....and that is simple too.
