New Emmerdale Music and Credits.

Caught the new Emmerdale theme last night and it's rubbish. Very badly done - I think they've ruined it to be honest - it's too electronic and naff, the original tune has been lost in the mix as they say - anyone got any comments?

Why?

Does it mean you're brain-dead?

I'm an occasional Emmerdale viewer, and an avid Corrie fan.

No different from Chekhov really...except there's usually more humour.

I tend to spread my cultural viewing across a broad spectrum.

Dismissing something as lowbrow might, one day put you at a disadvantage.

Well done.

Here, pop this in your purse.

Quick, before they all see, and you start getting begging letters.

I knew I should have asked which Emmerdale actor starred in their own programme in the seventies, with their name in the title?

With a bonus million thrown in for naming the show's resident pop band.

At the time she was a teenager, and it was shown in the children's slot on television.

I think they became friends at a childrens' theatre group.

That's why there are so many photos of them together, in the credits of Birds of a Feather, in which they played sisters.

I think that the credits are ok, every show needs a update now and again

John falling off that hospital and then running away I thought was a bit irresponsible as give kids the wrong impression - you wouldn't get up from that if you fell in the way he did, on to your head! I think this kind of thing is more worrying that the current Assisted Suicide plot!

That is a bit far fetched.

I didn't know he'd dusted himself off, and ran to Emmerdale, all the way from Manchester.
