Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
I honestly thought Austin Healey would win this. Not been a regular watcher, just look in now and then. But after seeing him dancing at the TV awards, thought he would be a dead cert.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
What an amazing final!
A truly memorable night's television.
Lisa, Rachel, and even Austin, whose jive tonight was the best by a male celebrity I've ever seen, would all have won earlier series.
Both girls achieved pefection tonight, and can certainly hold their heads up high, but Tom's show dance was really nothing short of a show stopper. I loved it.
A worthy champion.
All the mess up with the voting was forgotten, thanks to the fabulous dancing from all tonight's competitors.

I said that earlier
So he won then?
(Haven't watched any - prefer NCIS)

Yes, but after Lisa was placed third the votes were levelled, so both Rachel and Tom had an equal chance of winning.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
I wanted Christine to win!!!!!
Actually I thought that Tom was going to win all along because he clearly had the viewer vote. Whether that was right or wrong or whether Rachel was the better dancer or not. I also thought that if he'd won people would go shouting 'fix' and 'Rachel was robbed' etc but then they did the showdance and blew everyone out of the water.
After that dance no one can argue that they didn't deserve it.

Re: Strictly Come Dancing 2008
Fantastic entertainment, I will be the first to admit that I voted for Rachel. But good on you Tom, you truly deserved to win.
Only one problem now, what am I going to do with my Saturday nights now?

I think you're wrong.
If that were the case it would have been an Austin versus Tom final.
